Oh yes, much less dumb.

Would that be an American woodchuck or a European one?

Wow, that stayed on topic for a total of 0 posts.

Anyway, yeah I think beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people find different features attractive/ugly. Myself, I like what I like, but beauty is far from the most important thing in a relationship or whatever.

I dont think I would criticise anyone for their taste in people because at the end of the day its their choice, not mine.

A new record.

I think there have been studies done that show certain facial types to be scored as more attractive in scientific experiments. So, while individually, each person might consider different features to be attractive, when looking at the cumulative scores of a large group of people, there is a preferred facial type that is considered attractive. I'll have to do some searching on the web to see if I can find what I am talking about.

That's certainly true.

As you pointed out, there are certain features that are generally found to be more attractive than others. Personally, there are elements of a woman's personality and appearance that, in the right combinations, are incredibly intoxicating. I've found that personality can make an otherwise plain looking person beautiful. But then again there are different types of beauty. There is the quick, superficial perception of beauty, which, minus some other likeable quality, doesn't last. And then there is the beauty that more or less lasts a lifetime - which is more dependent on personality than physical appearance.

A study conducted by University of Arizona Department of Psychiatry has revealed that the kind of male face a woman finds attractive can differ depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle.
For instance, the study found that if she is ovulating, she is attracted to men with rugged and masculine features.
However, if she is menstruating, or menopausal, she is more prone to be attracted to a man with scissors lodged in his temple and a remote control jammed up his *rse while he is on fire.

I believe there are too many variables involved in being 'beautiful.'
So I do think that beauty is in the eye of the beholder...
